photoblog image Stormy San Francisco Bay

Stormy San Francisco Bay

Celebrating the rains. California is now in the third year of one of the state's worst droughts in history.

From left Tiburon, Belvedere, behind Belvedere partailly obscured in clouds Angle Island, center and right the Bay Bridge, Treasure Island, West span of the Bay Bridge, Alcatraz, Marin Headlands.

Shot with my Canon 50D and 70-200 L lens. 8 shots total.

I made general adjustments in Camera RAW: Exposure, Highlights and Shadows; then opened in Photoshop and applied Auto Align and Blend plus some curves.

It's been a few years sense I have posted. Hoping to be able to come back on a regular basis.

Looking forward to the new year.

Cheers everyone.

If this is the standard of composition to which you aspire I really do hope you can return!

Hi John - glad to see you are still alive. It was quite some time and I for one, would like to see more.

I have found that a 4 picture pano is the limit that Shutterchance can load, without the picture getting too small. Too small, means the details get squashed. I have an 8 photo pano of a mountainous landscape in my 'den' that is mounted in a 2metre x 500mm frame. Great result; I tried to load same on Shutter, but deleted it.

I clicked on 'Slideshow' on top here and that afforded a much better view, since it allows more screen space.

So what happened to 'regular'?
John Eagle: Ha Ha, yes I did say that. Thanks for the reminder (push), much appreciated.
