San Francisco Streets

Lunch time in the city.

I was on my way to the post office at lunch time when I ran into these enormous doggie heads.

They are what is left of Doggie Diner.

Doggie Diner was a Restaurant chain, founded in 1949, closed in 1986.

It has gone to the dogs.

I checked the link, saw the old man died, etc. Was this a restaurant for dogs, or just a name with human patrons?
John Eagle: Hot dogs (Fast Food). Dachshunds - Weiner dogs and Hot Dogs are called Weiners.

I like the idea of a restaurant for dogs. If it could happen anywhere it could happen here... or in L.A.
