Sundial Bridge in Redding California.
Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava conceived the Sundial Bridge’s design, his first free-standing bridge in the United States.
The bridge is best seen at night when it is lit up. Walking under the Sundial and looking up one definitely feels as though floating in outer space... and a little dizzy.
Interestingly the details of white broken mosaic tiles seem to be a homage to Antonio Gaudy. And one view from under the tower looking up echos the Casa Mila roof top sculpture garden in Barcelona.
