These are Moon Jelly fish.

 

This jellyfish can grow to be about 50 cm across (the bell).

Average Lifespan: Approximately 1 year.

Range: Probably not native to the west coast of North American, but has been found in the San Francisco Bay. Commonly found in Europe, Japan, the Gulf of Mexico and along the east coast of North America.

Diet: Moon jellies typically feed on zooplankton (microscopic animals that drift in the water) such as copepods.

Predators: Sea turtles are a common predator of moon jellies.
