Number 72

It's been a year since I have posted.

I look back and wonder what have I been doing? The answer. Same as always - work, work and more work. All work and no play makes for a boring life... so I went to Fort Point, San Francisco to photograph the surfers. It was a wash. No surf, no surfers.

I was rewarded with a pleasant surprise. A civil war re-enactment at Fort Point. Hundreds dressed in civil war era costumes. I did not have my flash so I had to crank up the ISO. I had a hard time getting out of there. Once these guys start talking they don't want to stop. They are REALLY into it.

it was fun and I am happy to be back with Shutterchance.

ISO1600, yep, that's pushing it. Done well tho. Any post processing? I might have made it a shade darker.

I am new to shutterchance, so welcome back, and hello

Cheers
Rob
John Eagle: A little post processing in Camera RAW. I warmed up the temperature slightly. A little recovery and brightness and 1 point each in clarity, vibrance and saturation.

Thanks, good to be back.

Well, you made it thanks goodness. With the economic downswing you never know what happens to someone else.

About the picture, yes one can see the noise resulting from the high ISO. The easiest way to take care of it, would be to 'age' the picture - make changes that will give it a yesteryear feel - e.g. convert to sepia.
John Eagle: Yup, I'm back, don't know how a whole year got by me. As far as the economy, I'm hanging in there. At least with digital cameras there isn't the expense of developing film. smile

Hadn't thought about aging the picture. I will give that a try.

Thanks
