Littel bird that tried

This is a mural on the side of a Victorian in the Mission district, San Francisco. When you see
this piece it is obviously a commissioned piece. I don't know if the artist started out as a street /
graffiti artist or not. But it definitely has tones of that nature.

While Graffiti is illegal and considered vandalism many of the "better" artists
get commissioned to do murals. I find it interesting that in order to get noticed and hence
commissioned a certain amount of illegal work has to be done to basically develop street cred.

It's an odd situation isn't it - but for this artist the effort and keeping one step ahead of the law clearly worked. WOuldn't it be nice if there were an easier way to get work?

Clever mural too
