Italian Street Painting Festival

Take a look at my post yesterday. It was taken Saturday night, the first day of two, after the artists had left for the day. Here is the artist now on Sunday working on his piece. Very time consuming and yes he did finish. Some artists did not finish their work. Notice the stop watch in the upper right. It was hot and windy not the best conditions. The onlookers are in the thousands adding to the pressure to perform. Early Monday morning they wash away the art and re-open the street to traffic.

If you like chalk art I have about a weeks worth of shots for you so sit back and enjoy.

The earphones must be to shut out the crowd and concentrate on the work. What would be the significance of 'Scot Valley Swim and Tennis' - a sponsor? Great shot - people at work.
John Eagle: Yes, "Scot Valley Swim and Tennis" is a sponsor. Each space/painter had a sponsor.

As I said before, John, this kind of art just amazes me because it's here today and gone tomorrow. And yet these artists are still dedicated to it!
John Eagle: Major dedication. We are talking 2 solid days in the sun on their knees. And then only hours after they finish – Whoosh, washed away. Actually, sounds like good therapy for learning to let go.
