photoblog image The Great Reno Balloon Race

The Great Reno Balloon Race

September 7, 2006.

My mom was driving me to Reno to catch the train to San Francisco. I had totally forgotten about the Reno Balloon race. As we came around a sage brush dune on Hwy 395 we were caught by surprise and I snapped this image.

Cool capture!
A pleasant, lucky surprise I'd say. Very nice.
John Eagle: Thnak you. I like these kinds of suprises. This is what makes photgraphy for me. When you turn a corner and "POW" you see a shot.

I saw you on Sorcha's site, John, and came to look at you here. I absolutely LOVE this "surprise" from out of the desert and think it's a great, colorful capture!
